Attn TVX Mole

Post by BobB »

Mr Mole

As you brought to our attention the return of TVX Call Girls on this forum, it seems the appropriate place to ask you a question.

We all know that this program is probably the most clinical, boring, soft piece of material ever screened but I wonder if you could ask your 'friends' at TVX the following.

This program is shown at 23.00 each evening, but why is it preceded by 2 hours of preview? Why should subscribers to TVX have to watch 2 hours preview of a (very) softcore program, every night, replacing the normal (but admittedly oft-repeated normal programming)? And, as if that were not bad enough, TVX are now showing both the preview and the program on TWO of the four TVX channels (TVX2 and TVX4). Subscribers have, effectively, been deprived of half the viewing that they have paid for at peak time (21.00-23.00).

We all know that the ?adult? channels routinely lie/exaggerate/con and generally rip off their customers (sic), but this is really taking the piss. I don?t why they don?t broadcast it on all 4 of their channels and have done with it.

I look forward to your answer.

PS This is actually a rhetorical question, as we all know the answer. It is just another way of not having to produce any new material, and fills a couple of hours time in the evening. It also means that they only have to repeat their normal material 30 times a year, instead of 40 times.

Beggars belief that anyone still subscribes.

For me the huge disappointment is the broadcasters' (all of them) attitude to Ofcon. It's saddening to see the way they just roll over, just acquiese to any thing that Ofcon say when there are enough holes in their (Ofcon's) argument to drive a bus through it. How many people believe that it's all about child-protection? I bet there's nobody on this site who accepts Ofcon's explanation, is there? Yet the broadcasters just roll over and die.
The adult T.V. audience in the U.K. is growing up and will not accept the shite that is offered on T.V. for much longer, I think.
I.T.P.V. could well be the way forward for those who are unable to get Hotbird.

IPTV is possibly the way forward. Technically it is not difficult, but I think that there may be many potential subscribers out there who don't want yet another box (be it a PC or, eventually, a dedicated IPTV box) sat underneath their TV. With a $ky box, Euro box, DVD box and Plasma TV box, I'm running out of space.

The real solution would be for the 'adult' broadcasters to stand up to Ofcon. That ain't ever going to happen as long as they are making sufficient money from their $ky subscribers, and can maintain their existing cosy relationship with Ofcon.

That being, as we all know, for Ofcon to turn a blind eye to the occasional glimpse of R18 (once every blue moon) to keep the gullible subscribing, but not enough to get anyone complaining and making life difficult for Ofcon

Dont forget Bob, you dont have to posess the set top box to get access to IPTV. You can do it just as easily with a PC. the set top box option is for those who have really good broadband and want to watch it on their television.

The great thing about the soft core channels being around is that it reassurs me that IPTV will take off.

man needs his fix of pussy so bad that he will pay for it no matter how it is served up and delivered and...I'm sure people do enjoy the softer option too.

People while entitled t vent their opinions should not judge everyone by their own standards. There are soft options to porn that are making more money than hard.

Surely that says something and dont forget TVX has been around for years so they must be doing something right and I dont believe its based on lies and hoodwinking. If people are that stupid then...what can I say?

I have absolutely no problem with the softer option, it has much to recommend it.

I do, however, have a major problem with broadcasters who deliberately try and mislead with adverts promising 'explicit', 'uncensored', 'hardcore', 'xxx' etc. To suggest that that is not trying to mislead or hoodwink the subscribers is a typical response from much of the UK adult industry - blame the customers for being so stupid - they deserve all they get.!
It is all very well to say that everyone knows that the adult channels do not broadcast hardcore, but that does not excuse the broadcasters for suggesting that they do.

Also for every person who subscribes to these channels (and I, incidentally, do not) who wants the 'softer option', I could find 1,000 who would like a choice. There is a place for both, and IPTV may well be the vehicle that eventually provides that. It sure ain't gonna be the satellite channels!

I am sure that there are many who want to watch both soft and hard from the comfort of their sofa, though, not sat in the spare bedroom (or wherever their PC might be) in front of a 17" screen.

That is where 'another box' might be a problem for some, regardless of how good IPTV may be.
