I would have to agree with you when saying he was giving us a reality check before performing. I attended the audition focused what I was there to do, and what was said by george made me even more focused and things went well for me and couple other guys.

And as you have said, guys should think about what they are walking into because I thought it through and prepared myself mentally, as I knew it wouldn't be an easy ride.

Yes creating a relaxed feel on a shoot helps everyone involved, but at the of the day there is a job to be done.

I'm a bit late to add my part but...
I'll add I've been on many a set with George and the crew, he's nothing like that when I've shot with him - if anything i'd say sometimes George is a little to nice, nothing like the sargent major in this vid.
All my mates think shagging on set is easy, but in reality when you got all the people watching you, I know 100% i'd never get it up, I'd be far to nervous.
But what he says is 100% right about the money. I can recall one guy who couldn'd get it up, it was great for the tvx version, cos they show no cock, but it was an utter waste of Geoge's money for the DVD that whas being shot. remember he still got to pay everyone else.

Yes I must concur with Gi. George was never like that when i freelanced for him one time a few years ago.

In fact I remember giving one guy a pep talk and telling him to relax. A shoot day is very different to audition day because you dont have tim for performers who want to make love to a girl before proving that he can do it.

The advice I would give guys as I did on the day, earn their stripes through amateur productins, hone their individual style this way. Thats how some of the best performers came through.

Its quite rare to find real stars on an event such as this but we were all surprised that ther were more who actually did it on the th day than did not.

I think it would be fare to say everyone was nervous but it seems some of the critics here think the boys were treated harshly..Thanks to Jigster then for coming through and validating what the day was about and making George ut to be practical on the day as he is a very nice bloke in general who was pushed into the spot of having to host the event at the last minute.

My first time was with Crystel Lei and Cyprus Isles and a room full of people. Seems like I got a knack for performing in front of a crowd. My most recent experience was my caning from Crystel Lei - now talk about jumping in at the deep end. As Sandie says.. you either got it or haven't. Still not sure if I got it but certainly have no probs performing with a crowd around apart from outside a certain bowling alley thanks to Miss lei. Hahahaaha.

I also have to say what a lovely guy George is.He was just telling the guys the harsh reality of the porn business.It is very hard to become a jobbing stud.The business in the UK is quite small by comparison to Europe or the US.There are only so many studios that do the high end stuff,then alot of independent professional producers and the low end camcorder market.The models will work in all of these areas as long as conditions and money/expenses are acceptable.
Sure you get a kick out of working with a gorgeous babe or likewise for a girl with a sixpack dreamguy but that only lasts a moment then there is set ups to be done.You either have that exibitionist streak in you or you don't.Even if you are a quiet guy in your everyday life.A lot of people outside porn think they are all sex crazed maniacs.The reality is you just have to be able to perform on the day.I love being creative.Also people enjoy watching porn as oppose to some documentary about inner city life that is a perfect antidote for insomnia.

I found that video fascinating partly because it was a genuine insight into whats needed when making porn, partly because it was made by pornographers instead of channel 4 media types, but mostly because I was meant to be there!

Yes, that's what surprised me.

That film was so uninspiring. It was just so cold!

I was surprised as that producer that was shown seemed to me to produce some of the better films I've seen.
