After doing a couple a shoots lately that were classed as 'erotica', i had to ask the question WHAT THE HELLS THE DIFFERENCE!!

Well i was soon put in my place and after seeing the results, feel that its a style i'd like to see more of.
Although still explicit, it creates a mood thats horny but (i think) less unoffensive than the starkly lit porn close-ups that we're all used to.

I know that this style of work is about but i think we should see more of it.

Just wondering what everyone else thinks of the arty side of filth????

I'd say both have their place. In general, to achieve, "Erotica" porn makers, dig out the 'ol fetish gear, boots stockings etc, bung a blue light through a window with a venetian blind and then slo-mo a girl walking around before she falls to the floor and squirms about a bit (ideally in a puddle of water). maybe add a neon dildo to the scene and wham............you got erotica mate! You could then add 4 studs wearing ripped tights, tiny rubber shorts, bow ties and top hats sliding down white ropes into the scene (In slo-mo) and your on your way to an AVN Award! LOL

I think you can achieve erotica in any porn genre, including gonzo. It's about anticipation, it's about the viewer not quite knowing whats going to happen next. This is why "Private" films are as erotic as a slab of granite since you could run a German Railway network by their monotonous, predictable pace, ie blow job, position, position, anal, cum shot.
