Stills
You'd have to be really, really, really good to break in as you need publishers to buy your stuff.
You also need to be able to find new girls.
Only a handful of guys make a living doing stills.
Video
Technically eaiser, with scope to create a nice paysite (if you can think of a new angle/style) and provide material to generic sites, but you need to commit to creating a volume of work.
If you can't afford shoot twice a month, every month, forget it. (You need at least 10-15 scenes for a paysite, DVD sales are falling, and selling to generics requires volume. )
Pencil in 500-600 per scene minimum (700-1000 if you are ambitious) and you'll see you need to invest a few K to even give it a serious try,
If you can't do that, keep it as a hobby.
Good luck.
