Lolly Badcock - fixing camaera gear

About 10 months ago I travelled to Nottingham to photograph and video Lolly Badcock.

The first request I had upon arriving was could I get some milk so I obliged.

It had been raining hard and I was soaked to the skin upon my return.

Lolly was a great shoot but halfway through my poxy 18-55mm Matalan style Nikon Lens broke.

Lolly was helpful and after having her hands down where the sun doesn't shin, well in Ms Badcock's case maybe it does, she took it upon herself to try to fix my lens.

Being new to the business I let her try to 'fix' the lens and this photo was taken with a 55-200mm lens as were the rest of the shots that day.

Lolly certainly did try to help and it is appreciated. Thank you Ms Badcock for trying to fix the lens and being so hospitable on such a horrible rainy day.

Well here is the photo, call it arty, but I think it captures Lolly relaxed and natural. Enjoy.

It was my second ever shoot in my life and was taken with a 55-200mm lens as a test shot of the lens. But agreed. If only I could go back in time. lol.

It's still a well lit and vibrant photo though.

Just remember to focus and the eyes and then frame the picture.

I did it last year - over 10 months ago. Hope I have improved since. Well I seriously hope I have improved taking over 12000 photos of 25+ models combined since Ms Badcock's appearance on my site.

Kit lenses are notorious for simpy 'pooping', no warning, no other signs, just BAM and gone.

I have a space 28-105 i carry all the time.

Shootin at that length, did you squish against the wall to get distance

On the two occasions i have had a shoot with Lolly she has been absolutely brilliant.
Pity she has left Nottingham
Also we don't seem to see posts from her anymore. Is she still available for modelling

I sure had to go against the wall and out of the door for some shots into the corridor.

It sure pays to have a spare lens and a spare camera which I now carry.

Lolly's skills are amazing. I think she is still modelling. I think she is going to appear on Liquid Angels and has been on Killergram.
