You can use CCbill with ANY host, many many many many people use CCBill Ibill an others on servage.

It is said that both love and truth walk hand in hand. But if the need is great enough, can we learn to love a lie?

Hi I use servage!

I've found them very helpful. I use Verotel Ticketsclub. Verotel set up the billing but my there was something wrong with the access file and Servage even sorted this out for me. Works a dream now.

You should also be able to use CCbill but Ticketsclub take a lower percentage. I've had no problem with servage, they have been working on the features, great bandwith, webspace.

If you go with them please could go through my site, would help me! There's a banner for servage.

All the best

Cenobitez is quite right, the billing company and the hosting company don't care who each other are. But when it comes to hosting, you get what you pay for. I believe Servage put a daily limit on bandwidth, so if you had a gallery on the Hun, for example, you could find your daily limit exceeded in the first few hours which would put your entire business down for the rest of the day.

Also you will need good support if you know nothing about servers which , with respect, I think you don't. There are many, many pitfalls on running your own server and if you don't have the technical knowledge, you need to pay over the odds to get help from the people who do.

There is a limit on bandwidth per day. I believe it's 100GB download and upload combined a day. I've only got over it once when I got 7000 hits in one day. However, that was a not a typical day.

Are you intending to publish video? With Servage, you are sharing server space with many others- their data centre is one big shared cluster.

There is no guarantee you will have sufficient bandwidth for video streaming, even if they do say that they allow adult content.

With Servage there is your basic few quid a month account (which runs AIR) and happily serves files of up to 50MB (largest Showreel).

However they do make it clear if you will be having a hog of a site that you need to discuss it with them.

I've always found them very good re service and support etc (and I had to burn a few hosting contracts when I was experimenting).

If you need tens GB pr day bandwidth, their basic is fine. If you will be a hog, then if their offer wasn't too much more than others, I'd take it because their servuice and support is so good. They actually have people who read your questions and try to understand, (unlike some hosts, who farm their support out to idiots).

The big problem with hosting companies is they tend to promise much more than they deliver (bit like certain adult TV channels) and you don't find out until you've paid up.

The other thing, if you expect a really busy site (lots of concurrent users), is that your problem suddenly changes from bandwidth to computer power - and you start needing your own, high spec, server and then you're on a treadmill.

But to have that type of problem you must have paying customers, so it should be self funding :-)
