I agree with Emily, a model accepting a booking should not be an invitation to sexual harassment. She shouldn't have to say "no" once let alone several times.

I agree, but that's a 'perfect world' scenario. Some people don't have the requisite self control, and furthermore I dare say that there are some men who gravitate to the porn industry because of the opportunities they believe it offers them in terms of their predatory sexual agendas. I also dare say that there are some girls who live up to the expectations, and that being the case such guys are going to think all the girls are 'fair game'. It's 'black and white thinking' and it suits them to think all the girls are 'game' rather than none of them.

Surely the predators are an unfortunate fact of life in the same way that drunks are for Police and healthcare professionals, although I appreciate that they're advantaged by having 'back up' and the power relationship is different.

You can lament that it shouldn't be so, or accept that on occasions it will be and find strategies to identify and manage the risk.

"my advice to those people is go and watch a film produced by a proper company such as `private` `harmony``relish` etc..."

Well, some of us don?t have thousands of dollars to spend on producing DVD?s. So are we not producing proper porn? I would suggest there is not many people on here who can spend the amount a company like private can spend.

I just get a little fed up with people saying the UK scene should be like the US scene. We should all move into an industrial estate somewhere and produce porn.

I think you are the one who is missing the point, a lot of models rely on the amateurs and small production companies to keep them in work between the more lucrative contracts and without these there probably wouldnt be a U.K. porn industry.

You're right, it is a lesser of two evils scenario - I could only take on jobs with guys I know for sure are 100% pros and have never, ever even considered so much as asking a model for a drink after the shoot, but not make enough money to even cover my rent, or I could live with the fact that a tiny minority of people who hire me haven't quite realised that I'm not just a glorified prostitute.

You're also right that there are one or two girls who do live up to the stereotype of adult model=insatiable nympho, and that seems to be enough to warrant some guys trying their luck with all the girls they work with.

It isn't a perfect industy and I'd be very naive to think that it didn't attract some quite unsavoury characters. But, on the other hand, it is by sticking to my principles that I get through it. Some guys just have the wrong idea and need to have it pointed out to them that it's okay to look but not to touch. Some others know full well that what they're doing is wrong, and it takes a bit more conviction to get them to back off.

And, of course, the fact is that the many guys who are sweet, kind and very professional make up for it all in the end - one good shoot can take the sting out of ten bad ones and remind me why I do this.

Lancashire based professional adult model. Hard solo and g/g, up to heavy fetish and BDSM - can travel, can accommodate, reliable, hard-working, flexible and versatile, with competitive rates! What more could you wish for?

It all depends on how you look at it, the U.K is a small island with an estimated population of around 60million the rest of Europe is a land mass with i guess something like 500 million and the U.S. around 300million, yes we do have an industry in the U.K. but given the draconian laws concerning the distribution of porn you would be on a hiding to nothing investing a large ammount in the making of a porno as you would never see your money back, anyway i would rather watch a Brit budget porno than any of the big money foreign productions !love!

It wasnt an attack on storm child ( I dont even know who he is) just sharing some insight Emily. By all means take issue with it. But when told I was a nice guy I was honest that I'm not that nice if given half the chance i would take her up on the offer but the offer wasnt made. I was just being honest and nor did I ever over step my bounds.

Some people regarded me with suspicion for having such an exemplary record which I guess is the metaphorical equivalent of selling drugs but not doing it yourself, people will regard you with suspicion.

You said:

I shouldn't have to say 'no'. The question shouldn't be asked in the first place. End of story.

But if some one did not ask in the first place...How would they know?

I ask couples all the time if they want to do Real Couples? Does that mean I shouldnt ask but wait to be asked? I 've found I've had pleasant responses by merely asking. Like I said, all they have to do is say yes or no.
