You only have to reply once SB, not 4 times to bump the original post up.
Maybe 299 people in Birmingham centre thought it was great, but even if there was just 1 person who did not want to see it do you not think that they have the right to go shopping in a city centre high street without having that in their face?
I like living in this country, sometimes it's a bit crap but I like being British.
I like doing porn, it's a fun job and you get paid for doing it!
But it's YOUR CHOICE IF YOU WANT TO SEE IT!
It's your choice if you want to go to see a lapdancer (which is also fun ;-) )
That one person is all it needs for a whole spectrum of people to look bad!
Please don't tell me what job I should be doing, and I shall not tell you what you should be doing for a job.
But lets put it this way, if you think porn should be advertised in the streets and be hard core on the tv channels, where will your little site end up?

I'd find something else to do... but you're right, there's a contradiction - my personal view is that hardcore porn should be available everywhere, including on TV. In many European countries, people can buy porn DVDs from news stands in the street, and watch hardcore porn on TV. Here, you can go to a sex shop, order from overseas, or watch on a site like ours.

But the fact that the TV channels are softcore is good for Strictly Broadband. We sell the hardcore movies that the TV channels can't.

But we'd survive regardless. We have thousands of movies that people can watch on demand. TV can't offer that choice - on demand is the future. Notice how I got a little plug in there... !happy!

I don't think that images of nudity harm anyone, even children. Violence is far more damaging.

Fifi's been busy, but promises a major scoop soon. She won't tell me what it is though...

Okay, jesus, this is why I struggle on forums and I understand why a lot of people end up not bothering to contribute anymore...

Firstly, I did not accuse Gemma's post of being directly racist, I wondered why such venom and sarcasm seems to be frequently directed at JB from Strictly Broadband on this forum, when to me he seems a sincere bloke who quite often takes a stand against unpleasant elements on the fringes of this industry and scene, i.e the type that quite often manifest themslves in racist attitudes...

As for your comments about Jamaica, well, I must have been to a different country to you, because I've seen sound systems set up with 'Queens' dancing in the daytime loads of times, can't explain you missing out on all that, don't know where you were....

Further to talk about steel bands and purport that there was no cultural link in terms of - in particular - Louiza - is utter bollocks mate....You see, she happens to love steel band music, as does her Mother who was a famous West Indian Athlete....She even stops and buys CD'S when bands are playing in the street, it is part of her heritage, what are you saying???? That the fact that the Steel Band at our local Community Centre is comprised of 20 black kids is just coincedental??? That black people do not have a special affinity with that music???? You might as well say they have no special affiliation with reggae....

The point I making, was that this was genuinely 100 per cent spontaneous and as a direct result of Louiza's love of that particular music, it was not as others implied on here - staged - by Jerry or anybody else and I repeat would not have happened if it it had been a heavy rock band playing....

Whether you like it or not my friend, that is a cultural aspect.

My last point - and the most relevant, in my view - is this.

I was under the impression that this forum is a 'Promotions' arena....One where members of the Adult Industry, i.e models, filmakers, Producers etc, could post to advertise for new work or to 'promote' ongoing projects, events and product in which they maintain a personal or professional interest.

My posts regarding Louiza Ray and Lala center firmly around their promotional activities, relating to their forthcoming DVD releases.

I was not aware that this forum was intended to be used by other members of the industry, to pass moral judgements upon aspects of other people's product or careers.

There is stuff I am not keen on, but I will not come on here and attempt to impose my boundaries on the output and of others. Those who wish to debate the morality of Porn models dancing in the street with a steel band, ought to be posting or adressing their disgust elsewhere.

Perhaps once again, we need a posting from one of the 'admin' guys to remind people what the forum is supposed to be about...

Peace and love...........

Mate, being a casual user of this forum, I obviously missed something about strictlybroadband's views, people's attitudes towards them, and to the fact that he's American. (He seems a stand up type of guy from what I've read in this thread). So naturally without being armed with this knowledge I took your comment about Gemma's racist undertone as having something to do with the fact that she was complaining about girls, who happen to be black, dancing half-naked in the street. So apologies for any mix up, but you can't assume everyone knows everything about everyone on this board. I was just defending someone against what I saw as a blatantly uncalled for accusation of racism. But looks like I got the wrong end of the stick.

As for the Jamaica thing, believe me, I've seen street dances, but my point is that public nudity is not all pervasive in Jamaica and that most people there are in my experience morally pretty conservative - though, as i said, like most people not without their contradictions - and are pretty disdainful of girls dressed too skimpy. I just get tired of people thinking Jamaica's all libidinous excess and reggae and island paradise.

And the steel band thing, yes, obviously it's a black art form and it comes from the caribbean, I was just being sarcastic to emphasise a point. It's just the way you said "if you have not noticed both the girls are black and the steel band music was the main factor" made it sound like one whiff of a steel pan and all black people are hopped up on their hormones. But black people come from all over the world and don't necessarily have any connection to steel band music - and that goes for people from other parts of the caribbean too. That Louiza loves it is one thing, but maybe you should've just said that.

Anyway, I'm not here to start anything, just explaining my point. Good luck with the DVDs and all that, sounds like a nice series.

Peace.

This is just food for thought, but would it have been a) as controversial, b) less controversial or c) more controversial if it had been a couple of white English girls who had been 'moved' by a performance of Morris Dancers ?

>And if I had kids, I certainly would not want them to see it.

Heaven forbid we dare give kids the idea that sex is natural and fun, and that there's nothing shameful about women's bodies or about sex.
