Hi,

I have a website I would like to market and promote. But I'm not too sure how to do this the right way.....

The domain has been purchased and has been live now for a few years so it's indexed in Google.

I can pay an S.E.O. a vast sum of money to help... but not sure if this is the right way to go about it...

Can anyone out there give me a recommend or at least give me some kind of options....

Search for all the related forums, and post on them include links to various pages on your site, include it in your profiles, signatures anywhere you can.

Comment on news on slashdot, and any other big sites, and use your URL in the comments, like Marty from http://xxxxx, just get it around the net, and concentrate your main industry related sites before you go paying

The simplest way would be to host your site thru CCBill, then you can apply for their affiliate program. It seems to have worked wonders promoting InBedWithFaith.com

But the bottom line as always - have 'compelling content'.

IBWF is part of the sterling group (afaik), which is a BIG chain with enough traffic to elevate a site.

In similar terms its like saying GMail is popular because its a top story on digg, its big because its part of google.
