Help with an idea.

Hi.
Just wondering if anyone has tried this! Get a gorgeous model to come out on a Saturday night with businss cards and approach all the good looking girls in town. Give them a card with a phone number and email and explain that they are good enough to be a glamour model. The reason I ask is that i know a lot of girls who say they would love to pose in front of a camera but never had the oppurtunity. I'm sure they would respond more to a girl suggesting it rather than a bloke. If this works are there any attractive girls that fancy a night out in Southampton, drinks all night and money to help me out?

Its been done. I know somoenone who was soliciting on the streets of Northampton and know of another in Prague. Hell I've even asked some girls outright and met up with them later. Theres nothing like the direct approach

Mat ... am in the same boat ...but seriously can you see some girls on a night out getting wrecked hanging onto your cards ...?...plus theres the other issue of making sure they are genuine 18+ ...if my 16 old came home with a card for glamour work I'd ring the guys neck !...me , am going to be using the papers and modeling agencies ...time is money and i'd rather know a girl will turn up do the business and not freeze when I shout "action" !

On the other hand ... a trip to Ibiza and you might get lucky with your approach !

Sorry to be negative Mat but I don't think the idea is feasible. Due to time restraints and the small amount of girls that have the suitable looks to be a model not many cards would be given out in an evening. Even from those that are given out only a very small perentage would reply. Also, you would have to pay the model giving out the cards quite a sizable amount of money for the several hours work that would be required. An advert in a local paper might be better.

OEJ is correct try the direct approach it has worked for me a few times, you can soon tell if the girl is interested then give her one of your business cards and sometimes you get lucky and they get in touch !xmas!!xmas!!xmas!

The Direct Approach is the best one!

I ALWAYS have 2 business card holders with 10 cards in each, as well as a 100 pack in my bag, and 200 box in my camera bag! I always hand them out when i'm out and about when i see a girl who looks the part. Return from topless and up is maybe 1/10 i hand to, and hardcore is maybe 1/30 i hand too, but i am looking for topless up, so i'm not looking for solely hardcore girls.

Get NICE cards, it sets a good example and impression It maybe in my head, but when using 350gsm matt lam, and 400gsm silk cards with a crisp cut, i get a better turn around than when I had plain 220gsm cards. So i think the card sets an impression of professionalism, but it may just be down to who i give them too, and i am better at what i do.
