A plea to models

It would be so useful when a model posts that they are looking for work, or when replying to a search for models, if they state where abouts they are located. There is no point in getting into a dialogue with someone from Leeds for a 1 or 2 hour shoot in London.

acually most girls will travel as long as they are paid expenses ,and i feel that just because some of us arnt based in perfect (not) london then why should we be missed out

Perhaps, just as there are model agaencies, there should be some sort of register for Togs showing their location, their status, willingness to travel, what they are willing to pay in expenses and fees, what sort of work they are interested in and if and where they have been published.

I agree totally with the original post. However, most models do state where they are based, and it really is a simply question that can be established in the first instance.

Hi Josephine

You miss my point. The fact is, it isn't always economically viable for a model to travel from some distant location for a one or two hour shoot. The travel expenses add to the models fees, and add costs to what might be a tight budget for the Photographer (I refuse to use the term 'Tog'; It's bloody awful !)

It's completely different for a half day plus shoot, where the expenses form a smaller percentage of the total cost.
