New forum
Re: New forum
If he don\'t then I do, like the feature of being able to go to next/previous message. I visit another discussion forum that is setup how this one is now, and wondered why it couldn\'t be the same. Mind you when you post it\'s slow alhtough only one message gets posted. bugs to sort for future perhaps?
Re: New forum
I'll see what pics I can find for people, could save time on IDs. posting direct to Forum.
Re: New forum
It might be a good idea to have a link that points to
a help page for the forum, so we know what will work
and what won't...
I really appreciate being able to post a bit of html. Just
hope it doesn't lead to any spam abuse..
Anyway, thanks Phil. Good work!

Re: New forum
Take it from me, it will be and is faster. The old one was grinding to a halt and I had a choice of either regulary deleting messages to keep the page trimmed down or move to this style of forum - which has many more features incidentally (top 20 excepted - you'll need to keep your own I'm afraid
). I can now keep all the old messages for a much longer period - all fully searchable within the forum area.

Re: New forum
Ok, I'm trying to set up an FAQ for the site, so I'll include it there with a link from somewhere here to the relevant bit.
As for excessive spam, I can monitor and manage posts much better with this forum, and they will be deleted. Also, if you do include images in posts, please be responsible about it - if it is abused, the facility will be removed. The last thing I want is the site to be closed by an irate web host!
In the meantime, very basic html tags should work ok - though not evidently! For a link, you can also type:
<http://www.blah.blah>
e.g. <http://www.bgafd.co.uk> will give
For an image you need to have the image on some server space, then use:
<img src="http://url.to.your.image">
e.g. <img src="http://www.bgafd.co.uk/forum/images/tess-adele.jpg"> gives

Re: New forum
Okay, okay. I get the message (groan). It just seemed harder to read at first, but it's certainly growing on me already. Don't suppose anyone's got a Sarah McLean image to post?
Re: New forum
The date wants sorting out though, it seems to be all over the place at the moment Phil
Re: New forum
Apart from the problem noted above, which should now be fixed (all transferred messages were a month out), there's not much I can do about the 1999 dates I'm afraid except get on to the web host - they keep resetting the server time for some reason.
