The movie called Tharzard really exist?

Post by BuccaneerBrazil »

I have been seen in several forums on internet people talking about the 'legendary' sequel for 'Tarzan' (Dard'zan, l'humiliation de Jane, Jane: The Sexual Adventures of a Jungle Girl, Jungle Heat, Tarzan-X Shame of Jane) called 'Tharzard - Il Ritorno' but I never saw this film anywhere.

Does it really exist?

Yes it does. Both were made back to back by Joe D'Amato with similar cast(Rocco Siffredi, hiswife Rosa Caracciolo, etc) and released around 1994 in Italy by Butterfly Motion Pictures
In the sequel Jane (Caracciolo) returns to the jungle to seek out Tarzan (Siffredi).

THARZAN: LA VERA STORIA DEL FIGLIO DELLA GIUNGLA
(USA: JUNGLE HEAT)
(TARZAN X: SHAME OF JANE)
(1994,Butterfly Motion Pictures)
Director: Joe D'Amato
Cast: Rosa Caracciolo, Nikita Gross, Barbara Dobson, Nikita Gross, Rocco Siffredi, Attila Schulter, Zoltan Kabay, Tao

TARZHARD: IL RITORNO
(THARZAN 2: IL RITORNO DEL FIGLIO DELLA GIUNGLA)
(1994,Butterfly)
Director Joe D'Amato
Cast: Rosa Caracciolo, Barbara Dobson, Swetta Silvestru, Cyntia Raffel, Rocco Siffredi

The first one did receive some video distribution in North America in the mid 1990's (as JUNGLE HEAT) and I believe because of copyright issues the second one was never released there.

This is the cover for the second movie.

I don't think either movie was re-released on DVD, but I could be wrong.

My notes for my copy of the first part say: "Spanish DVD". I'll dig it out when
I have time.

That would account for the reason why on tube sites and share lockers spanish language versions are circulating (at east for the first movie, not sure about the second one).
Th problem is both movies are not really parodies about the lord of the jungle, and it was foolish of Joe D'Amato to do a dramatic porn version of the iconic Tarzan character. He might have gotten away with a funny porn parody, but a dramatic one? That is why these two films are hard to frind, especially the second one.

I don't think I've ever encountered part 2.

Still, I'm never one to shirk a challenge : -))

I have worked on the filmographies of Caracciolo and Siffredi in the past, and until some years back there were still some Italian web retailers that were offering the second part (in VHS), but neither one seems to be available any longer and were not apparently transferred to DVD.
I believe the first part was dubbed in Spanish and released in Spain (in VHS and apparently in DVD as welll) and is frequently posted in blogs/forums by way of file lockers.
The second part is quite elusive though and I have never seen it.

Yeah, I saw the VHS sale-links.
Nothing much else either - no P2P/torrents, so it looks like a dead one : -(

There is presumably a low quality 74min Italian with russian "voice over" copy around.

Is the "russian voice over" male and does he (loudly) supply the dialogue for all the movie's characters?
I had to say that, cause on a couple of occasions some yeasr back I was looking for some impossible to find old out-of-print movies and came across one or two of those, and they were incredibly inept at either subtitling or dubbing. You could not hear the english/italian audio track nor coulld you clearly hear the russian voice-over track which was essentialy one male translating/robotically reading all the male and female dialogues.
At least some early Private movies had some voice over commentary (to explain the set up and action) but was not THAT intrusive and chaotic.

That's the one. Yes for "russian-voice-over-one-male-reads-it-all". !tears!
Hovever the audio is on the same volume and he is speaking just after the original voice, so there is some audible italian.
Will try on VEF in a week.
