HI THERE,
CURIOUS COMMENT MADE BY "BEN" IN THE FORUM OF WWW.BEN-DOVER.COM, SUGGESTING THAT 'YOUR SCENE' [is a] DODGY COMPANY. BEN RECOMMENDS THAT WE SHOULD SUPPORT 'YOUR CHOICE'..... WHO SPONSOR THIS SITE.
'BEN' ALSO STATES THAT 'YOUR SCENE' ARE LIKELY TO BE CLOSED DOWN SOON... SO PLACING ORDERS WITH THEM MAY BE A LITTLE RISKY.

BEWARE OF 'YOUR SCENE'?
Re: BEWARE OF 'YOUR SCENE'?
Your Scene certainly sell pirate copies of videos, including and perhaps especially Ben Dover. However, they also perform a useful service in digging out hard-to-find British stuff. Although they sponsor this site, Your Choice are extremely slow in releasing Ben Dover (and other videos - about 2 months behind the competition with Dirty Anal Kelly in Rome for example). They make up for this with excellent picture quality and excellent service.
I'm sure he would like to close down the pirates. Whether he will succeed is another matter.
However, thanks for the information.

Re: BEWARE OF 'YOUR SCENE'?
And indeed the website has been pulled as he says in his forum. That isn't quite the same as closing them down, however, as they also advertise in PRP magazines.
Re: BEWARE OF 'YOUR SCENE'?
Bugger I only sent them a order last week!
I've got to say that Im sorry to see them go as they had a great selection of videos, with all respect to Your Choice their range seems abit limited and very "samey"
"LONG LIVE YOUR SCENE!"

Re: BEWARE OF 'YOUR SCENE'?
Bottom line good riddance, pirates are the down of the industry, Ben who is a pall of mine has suffered with his success. He is a nice guy who spends his time making good hard movies for the guys and all the pirates do is rip him off sad sad sad. I don't get the same problems because of the Irish/Scottish blood. On one side you have the pirates and on the other you have the rip-off merchants which way do the genuine punters want it. Pay fair get fair quality I bet.Phil McC.
Re: BEWARE OF 'YOUR SCENE'?
I have recieved a new catalogue from Your Scene about 2 weeks ago. However my order for 2 videos have not been recieved. Cheque has not been cashed either. Does anyony know for real whats happening with Your Scene. Do U think I should stop my cheque
Re: BEWARE OF 'YOUR SCENE'?
As far as I know Your Scene are still functioning. I received two vids off them yesterday. Their site does seem to be down, don't know what's going on there. Why is Ben recommending Your Choice? They are also pirateing his stuff.
Re: BEWARE OF 'YOUR SCENE'?
Basically what we want is easy to obtain, high quality stuff at a fair price. Who's happy paying ?25+ for the tapes? If we could all get reliable supplies at good prices everyone's happy. Hint, Phil.....
Re: BEWARE OF 'YOUR SCENE'?
I for one would be pissed to see "your Scene" go as over theyears they have dug up some real gems, although i just received asupplement to there catalogue in the post yesterday. Although a lot of their stuff is pirate the last time i ordered from"Your Choice" their stuff just came on a standard blank tape,no box,no cover which is pretty shit for tapes costing ?25.
Re: BEWARE OF 'YOUR SCENE'?
They are authorised to sell Ben Dover's stuff so presumably he sees some benefit from their sales. They take copies from original master tapes, sometimes including parts of scenes not included in American versions. The picture quality is excellent and the price is only a couple of quid higher than that of Your Scene. I only wish he and they would get his stuff out more quickly - that would really scupper the pirates. However, I do agree that Your Scene dig out some rarities. Most suppliers are unaware that many buyers are actually collectors and are interested in older stuff - which is often better than newer stuff (with the notable exception of Ben Dover and a well-known contributor to this forum).
