R18?
R18?
Are R18 vids worth getting? I had always thought that although the guidelines have been relaxed somewhat recently, they were still pretty tame compared to the uncut versions. But now I hear that Dirty A Kelly in Rome 2 has been given R18 with only 7 mins of cuts. Now having seen the film this astonishes me (cutting twice this would still leave it as a pretty nasty film) and I may have to reassess my view of R18s. Is this film a one-off or is the trend becoming more and more liberal? PS I like the new look BGAFD home page.
Re: R18?
The only R18 material I have seen since the change is a McCavity production. Hardcore Amateur Fantasies Vol.1 I think. It was full on hardcore. Cum in the mouth, full close ups, anal penetration and all you'd expect from an adult film. Only problem was that it was too short. The Fuck Truck trailer was excellent (but why the laugh track Phil?).
Re: R18?
As far as I can see, all that the R18 guidelines exclude is violence, coercion, and extreme degradation - good riddance, so far as I'm concerned. My only complaint is that not much American stuff has been certified yet, perhaps because the UK is a small market and it isn't worth bothering with, though I notice that a couple of the Hustler 'Barely Legal' series are now available, and a few Buttman/Rocco vids. Some US vids might also need a bit of editing, not for the sexual content, but for the stupid pseudo-rape scenarios they sometimes use over there. Does anyone know what the BBFC approach is in practice? The guidelines allow 'obvious playacting', or some such phrase, but how strictly do they interpret it?
