Ribu DVD question

Post by candela »

Hello,

Today I received a bunch of DVDs from the german Ribu label. Now I noticed something strange: 2 of them have a purple colour (on the data side of the disc), like a DVD-R/CD-R, instead of the normal silver colour like other official DVDs. Is this normal? The 2 titles are "Wild Playgirls" and "Pensionat der Heissblutiger Teens". The label side also has merely the title printed on, unlike the other Ribu dvds that are silver coloured and have a "picture" label. Are these copies (bought them all from the same online store though) or are these titels like this. Anyone has them and can check?

Greetings,
candela

The original pressing of Wild Playgirls wasn't like that. However, these may possibly be official copies.

I have an Italian DVD (Klito Bell) which seems normal in every way except that it shows a DVD-R menu when you begin to play it.

Maybe firms resort to this - or authorise retailers to do it - to fill smaller orders when the orighinal pressing has run out, but this is only speculation

this seems to be normal.
I had the same one. "French satisfaction" for example is metal blue.

Hello!

1.) The Packing:

It is a sculpture hard box of the company Nickert (Hologram in the inside of the box).
The cover is stickily with the box.
The DVD is adjusted in the box at a square nipple.
Photos and description of the film are only on the box.

2.) The DVD.
The top side is metallic blue.
The underside is silver.

3.) The texts and information on the top side of the DVD.

The text above on the edge of the DVD into silvers
"Unerlaubte Vervielf?ltigung...."
The logo of the company "Goldlight Film" in the middle under this.(black-gold)
Middle-on the left the logo the company "Ribu(metallic red) Film(blue)"
Middle on the left under this "DVD-Ri-xxx"(silver)

Middle-on the right the logo "DVD video"(silver)
Middle on the right under this "Absolutes Jugendverbot"(silver)
Quite below in the middle of the DVD of "the titles of the film".(Same logo as on the box.)
The DVD is a faking if these features aren't correct.

Hello,

Which DVD exactly were you reffering too? Your description of the disc doesn't match Pensionat or Playgirls but it does look like Diamond Baby (although its black&white and no colours), another ribu I have, which is not a DVD-R.

Thanks for contacting Ribu, I hope they answer.

I bought a dvd once with a purple underside it was just a copy....and not a very good copy..I just have stopped buying dvds....if you are paying top odds for a dvd when its a copy...somethings wrong....
I suspect some dealers are just p2p sharing sites and just selling you the download.....
Just who are the real pirates????
