What happened to the 'girl next door' type models?

I'm sure I'll get some stick for posting this but what happened to the 'girl next door' models?

Maybe it's down to taste but I find it so hard to find a model who isn't covered in tattoos (1 or 2 I'm ok with) or face piercings or weird coloured hair or big fake boobs or botoxed faces. Whatever happened to the Elen Coles, Lianne Youngs, Renee Richards, Vicky Valentines or Vanessa Walkers that we had in the 90s/00s? Was hoping they'd become MILFs stars one day lol

There are a handful of models still in that vain but don't seem to be many. So is porn just not as attractive to 'girl next door' types anymore or did the girl next door just change?

I too prefer the attractive natural ' girl next door ' look.

Just my opinion but three factors that influence the current models

1)
they want tattoos and piercings to fit in with more established models

2)
they perceive they will get new work if they have tattoos & piercings since they are different from before

3)
rather than porn being less attractive it is now far less lucrative since
a) so much available for free on the net
b) guys have less spare income to spend on website subscriptions, magazines etc and one-to-one photoshoots

A model I found on Purpleport and booked for a private shoot earlier this year said she had very few shoots and her main income was from working several shifts a week in a cafe. Generally before the economic collapse modelling alone would would have easily brought in the same money for far fewer working hours even allowing a significant amount of travelling time.

Yeah you make some good points there. It's a shame the industry has changed so much and it's not as lucrative, I guess that's why a lot of models are also escorts these days.

The adult modelling sites are dying out too it seems, just a couple remain like AIR.

For those who are comfortable with it including the risks escorting can bring in a decent income.

I don't if still true but webcamming on AW etc. could be quite lucrative too. A couple of years ago one girl told me with having to do the enquiries and planning plus the number of last minute cancellations and just no-shows she preferred webcamming as she could just log on when it suited her although the best time was early morning since evening US time.

Some really interesting comments. I haven't bought a porn DVD or downloaded any porn material for quite a while now; I got tired of the Gonzo porn with two heavily tattooed performers having industrial sex. I go to life drawing classes and most of the models are just next door types who have other jobs, i often ask them if they would be happy to pose in front of a camera and a lot say they would.
