BB King

Post by David Johnson »

Sad news about the death of BB King, the great bluesman. A real giant of blues music, King was a big influence on the likes of Eric Clapton and Keith Richards.

Real music played from the heart.

RIP BB.

It wouldnt surprise me if he isnt recognised much here on the BGAFD since he was more than just a fine musician who inspired many other modern legends but his music also helped break down racial barriers too.

When peoples love for music transcends the colour of their skin its a big thing. Abve all else he was a great entertainer too

Respect and RIP BB King

The words 'legend' and 'genius' are often over-used, but not in his case.

I was very fortunate to see BB in Newcastle years ago. Got a phone call from mate's dad.."Got a spare ticket to see BB King. Do you want to go?" Yes was the answer and he was superb entertainment. Great voice and a real showman. He showed that less is more....not like the Malmsteen's and Vai's of this world who rely on effects.
