Vodafone scam

Post by countb »

Be careful folks
If you buy a Vodafone 4 mobile I and elect for payg you will be charged 2pounds a day even if you don't use it
That's 60 pounds a month and its a scam in small print
I am reporting them to Trading standards and the press
Absolute bastards and they never answer the fucking phones either

I've never used Vodafone and haven't had a payg phone for years but a quick search suggests you might be paying for mobile internet. That's ?2 per day for 50mb. If you've a smart phone then you may have unwittingly been talked into/opted in to it.

Next time you top up, ask/look out for the 'Freebies' which give you minutes/text/data bundles per month.

Bang on
What fucks me off is that you only find out how much it will cost after you've used your initial top up
Then you read the small print and you can get charged 6.50 for them to top it up without your permission
I've reported them to Trading Standards who will investigate
When you read their forum everybody is posting the same as me
What a set of bastards
And how strange that when I've used their live chat they have immediately given me 2 lots of 5 pounds credit which stinks of guilt
Thanks for the input guy s
