As I've said, Glitter's royalties from the song which Oasis sampled on their album will likely bring him in a lot of cash. He afforded to live in a posh central London apartment block for years, right up to his recent jailing in fact. A few years ago he kept saying he was skint. Things got better for him later as his property acquisition, and his purchase of a yacht, proves.

That figure was for 2012, largely due to the advertising campaign he was paid for and the Silver Linings Playbook fee he received that year.

I think we have established that it brought him ?1m from which he bought the 45ft yacht.

He has lived there for more than 20 years. He also had a place in Wedmore, Somerset, that he sold in the late 90s.

A lot of people can have expensive homes or other property and be cash poor ? as the ridiculous mansion tax will show if ever it is brought in.
