So in a week where a government investigation into allegations of child abuse involving members of the British establishment has been swept under the carpet, the current British government has decided to ban, amongst other things, the depiction of consenting adult females ejaculating.

The question paramount in my mind is this: why? I mean, laws like this are put in place supposedly to protect people; who is this intended to protect? At a push I can understand why activities like fisting and choking have been banned, i.e. on the basis that the could put someone's well being at danger, but I just don't understand who is supposed to benefit from this.

Aside from that, as has been pointed out already, it is a very difficult law to enforce. British producers could simply film their material in Europe, which, writing as a fan of Johnny Rebel's excellent Anal Vacation series, might be no bad thing after all.

The drafters of all this anti-porn legislation have thought of that one. If the editorial control of the material is in UK, ie the British domiciled producer returns to the UK to edit and upload, and subsequently benefit financially from it, then that is considered to be UK production. You would have to be based abroad and any monetary advantage kept totally abroad, though presumably you could visit the UK to shoot. With nothing better to do the authorities will no doubt be checking web sites to 'follow the money', and they have a whole raft of measures they can use to spy on a producer. And you thought all those anti-terrorism snooping powers were to hunt down terrorists. I bet there is a whole dept at GCHQ dedicated to patrolling the internet looking for UK one man band operations shooting a bit of BDSM or squirting. Pathetic really. Makes you proud to be British.

As an after thought, I am thinking that the police will probably start targeting performers found to have participated in any now illegal material they discover.

This article is kind of just trying to stir up trouble. They haven't just been banned. They've always been banned. The BBFC have never allowed female ejaculation because they take the view that it's urine. Everything that is listed has always been censored.

What's worse than someone not getting your irony is when you laugh along at someone's irony to show you get their irony and then they don't get that you got their irony and say something like 'I was trying to be ironic.'

Now, the irony is that is mindblowing.
