I never liked her music but she was always a looker, when i first heard wuthering heights i thought what a load of shite, just goes to show what thinking does for you,
I suppose for her age she's not doing bad.!wink!

Yep, I always thought it surprising that Kate Bush is still thought of so highly. She always struck me as someone who initially made it by doing the kind of stuff that Bowie had done so much better years previously i.e. the whole persona thing. .
I do like some of her stuff like Running up that Hill and Cloudbusting but generally not my cup of tea. Having said that I'm not familiar with her stuff that she has put out in the last couple of years or so.

Hugely talented woman, singer, song writer and music producer.
Always liked her since Wuthering Heights in 1977. I've got a lot of respect for her and even have a few albums

Re: Kate Bush
A fantastic artist and have always been a fan. Unfortunately I was only 13 when she last toured, and I am living out of the UK now, so couldn't get a ticket for these newest shows.
Always an amazing talent and in total control of her career, unlike today's artists who are nothing more than industry puppets. She can sing (without AutoTunes) and write all her own stuff. Never need cover versions, again, not like today.
When artists like her do decide to pack it all in, it makes you wonder who there will be to take over.

Re: Kate Bush
Although wuthering heights wasn't my kind of music i accept it must have been a difficult song to sing which is probably why Kate didn't do it at her recent gig, and very few other artist have tried to perform it, like i said her music never did anything for me but i always fancied her and it's nice to see that she can still draw the crowds..
Re: Kate Bush
Excellent artist who surpasses all expectations. Not surprised that she sold out they concerts straight away and had to get more tickets organised.
Legend in the British Music industry and always will be.
Not everyones cup of tea I admit but she is still adored by some of the public.

I am impressed with the amount of tickets sold, she's doing 22 shows at Hammersmith and playing to 4,000 a night. That's 88,000 people - the equivilant to selling out Wembley Stadium. Not bad for an artist who hasn't performed for 35 years! Also eight of her albums are back in the charts this week, this further confirms how enourmously popular she is.
Re: Kate Bush
I wonder how many tickets she would have sold if she had pre-warned her fans that she wouldn't be performing Wuthering Heights and Babooshka?
Re: Kate Bush
exactly the same number because more of the genuine fans would have got tickets when the casual, tick her off my list, i've bought the greatest hits, crowd who should never be pandered to by any artist wouldn't have bothered. if you were just going for wuthering heights, babooshka etc then tough fucking luck you clearly don't understand her and shouldn't be there. The woman's on stage for over 2.5 hours a night, it's a show she has put a hell of a lot of thought into, 18 months by her own admission, she's not just 'phoning in' a hits set for the cash - she could have done that for a similar number of nights at the 02 and earned 5 times as much money. at no point did she promise anyone the hits and why should she. she doesn't need the money, doesn't need to do any gigs, her career has been on her terms all the way.

She has pulled in more fans than the England team managed at Wembley in their last game, but i suppose she is more talented than Rooney and the rest of them, and far better looking !wink!
