One in 14 births in Britain are to so-called ?maternity tourists? from overseas. That?s 50,000 babies, costing the NHS ?182million a year.
In that Telegraph article you linked to further up the thread, it said the whole of 'health tourism' cost around ?80m a year.
Now, just births alone cost ?182m.
So which is right? The Telegraph say ?80m total, the Daily Mail say ?182m just for births.
NHS is the best Healthcare system.

I think HM Daily Telegraph is an older article.

Telegraph article is from 28th Dec 2013.
So 7 months old.
It's worth pointing out again, the Telegraph says ?80m, which includes ALL health tourism. The Daily Mail says ?182m just for births (so assuming the overall total will be much more). Given the Telegraph is a Tory paper, I can't see them downplaying the costs due to some leftist agenda. However, I can easily imagine the Daily Mail exaggerating about something to do with 'immigrants' and 'foreigners'.
