Glasto

Post by Arginald Valleywater »

Am I among the minority who think Glasto is overrated? BBC coverage is a disjointed mess (although Jo Whiley would do great Milf Porn) and the sound mixes are shocking. I sincerely hope Metallica blow the place apart with some real musicianship.

No, you are among the majority who think Glastonbury is overrated. And anyone over 25 or not a sub-editor on a tabloid and calls it Glasto is seriously sad.

There are probably three reasons for this...

Glastonbury is bigger than Download, it is more eclectic than Download and has more acts that are better known to a larger number of the population than Download.

Used to be good until it sold its soul to commercialism and became a magnet for "celebrities" like Kate Moss lording it in VIP winnebagos.

I can see it collapsing under its own weight trying to be too many things to too many different types of fan.
