We still have his wife and 5 kids considering amongst his reasons not to ve extradited was a right to family life it would make sense to give them a one way ticket back to Jordan with him.

Marvellous news to wake up to on a Sunday. A huge saving for the hard working tax payer.

Abu Qatada is a painful reminder how hard it is getting anything done immediately in this country

If this was the other way round in Jordan you can bet your door wouldve been busted down and a bunch of stormtroopers drag your arse butt naked out of bed to slam your arse in an economy seat back to Blighty.

Gosh! What am I saying? A bullet in the head would be a lot cheaper and quicker but here we are all about human rights even when youve infringed others of theirs you still have rights.

The irony is that he was fighting stop being taken back to a country that has those lovely Islamic values he proclaims.

I could not have put it better myself OEJ.

I am beginning to despise this country because of this type of carry on. I feel "Great" Britain brings a lot of it on itself because it's too bloody soft.

Weill I suppose if the boot was on the other foot and there were attempts to extradite Arginald back to Scotland where we knew that evidence obtained by torture would be used in his court case, Argie might just be a little aggrieved at this.

Surprise, surprise, he might try to do everything he could to avoid being extradited.

In addition if David Cameron, Theresa May and Nigel Farage described Argie as an extremely dangerous person even though the government had never brought criminal charges against him, he might be a tad pissed off. "Innocent until proven guilty" Argie might state.

Even worse, if Argie had been kept under house arrest or in Belmarsh prison for donkeys' years without any charges being brought against him by the government, then he might be even more pissed off.

This is what annoys me about the left-wing. They bang on about how racist we all are and homophobic and transphobic and whatever else phobic but is there any other country in the world that would put up with the nonsense like this that we do?

Many of our European "partners" ? also signatories to the ECHR ? seem able and willing to kick out undesirables. We let them use and abuse our legal systems.

We are, without doubt, the most tolerant country in the world.

'We are, without doubt, the most tolerant country in the world.'

Probably not true, but it's good to think it so.
