There's meant to be a group protesting by turning their backs on the cortege when it passes by.

It'd be great if you could stand behind them, then film their faces when they turn their backs. Just so the rest of the nation can see who the insensitive pricks are.

Trouble is its quite a long route from westminster abbey to st.pauls so this group of people could be standing anywhere, at a guess i would say there could be some protest at trafalgar as it passes by but who knows..

You appear to be getting extremely het up about all of this Thatcher protest.

The turning of their backs to Margaret Thatcher is perfectly legal. Not something I would do myself but if people feel like that and it is legal, I don't see why not.

As to your separate post about why people have waited 20 odd years after she left office to make this legal protest, I would have thought the answer is perfectly clear. We have had umpteen days in the right wing press and on the TV about how absolutely wonderful Thatcher was. We have had 7 and a half hours of debate in the House of Commons largely about how wonderful she was in comparison to about an hour when Churchill died. And we have a pseudo state funeral.

Surprise, surprise, a lot of people don't really feel that positive about Maggie Thatcher and all this stuff being shoved down their throats and want to register that they don't agree with these endless eulogies. This strikes me as fair enough, actually.

Pity that you are leaving the forum. I wish you a long, wealthy and happy life.
