The sad news has emerged re the death of the great Glamour Photographer,JOHN ALLUM.
He took his own life last Wednesday,3rd.April, while staying in London.
Our thoughts go out to his wife,Glamour Photographer,JOANIE ALLUM,and his son & daughter,grandchildren and the rest of the family.
His work appeared in MAYFAIR and other magazines World wide,until he gave the reigns over to Joanie in the early 80s.
A bleak moment for the glamour industry for this sad loss.
Goodbye John,dear friend.

Yep, I also heard this sad news earlier today. He was a good friend. I will contact Joanie soon and find out funeral details. RIP mate !

I am staggered. Wisely investing in property during his lucrative years,
John must have been a wealthy man. His fondness for a glass of wine
was well known. But a charming, kind man. A great sadness and, as you
say, one of the great glamour photographers of the 1980s.
