"is defence team fought tooth and nail to obtain bail. Being charged with murder isn't a bailable offence. So, just because he was frightened of jail shouldn't be a reason to be granted bail. The authorities obviously want him to fuck off or they wouldn't have bailed him, would they?"
This is nonsense. In South Africa, murder can be a bailable offence in exceptional circumstances. In the case of Pistorius, the judge viewed he was not a flight risk "Ooh look, there's that bloke Oscar Pistorious. Isn't he a runner or something". IN addition, he took the view that Pistorius wasn't going to wander round bumping off other people while on bail.
Oscar Pistorius. Who he?

Peter
Due to the sudden influx of millions of self employed Rumanians into the country, there are no more council houses left. Partly because the government are flogging them off at knockdown prices to the locals.
And due to the government's bedroom tax there are no spare bedrooms either.
Got any spare rooms in your gaff, Peter? Don't trip over the blades though.

Re: You wait ages for a Pistorius court case....
i've always been puzzled as to why golf is viewed as a sport. I mean it's not exactly energetic is it? Sport is basically about pace, stamina, fitness and so on. Walking around and tapping a small ball with a club is hardly any of those things.
