Media convergence is the in-phrase now isn't it. When the day comes that all TVs are also web browsers, will you know or care if you are watching linear TV or online VOD. This is ATVOD's self justification, of course.

Re: Hardcore on TV
While in theory the age verification could facilitate hardcore on the Sky channels I argue that it will NEVER happen.
Sky wont want the heat from the media in this anti porn climate with its "sexualisation of minors"
This would be a major smack in the mouth but I am fully aware it could happen which is why there are moves to making it a reality so the more powerful companies could benefit from it and I'm not talking about the existing players either
Anyway it will never happen and nor do I want to see it happen. Porn is perfectly fine where it is on the internet, though powers that be are striving to take that option away... again

Re: Hardcore on TV
Not the market these days surely what with tube sites showing full movies and a lead from laptop to telly costing a few quid??
Re: Hardcore on TV
It should be allowed on encryption only, certainly not on free open access mainstream tv where kids could see it.

Even on encryption it will never happen.
Does anyone truly beleive we will see the day this will happen on a big broadcasting platform like Sky???
I think we'd need to over turn the monarchy and the political system before that ever happened.
David Cameron will not sit comfortably on that given how he has been on his high horse about the opt in scheme that failed miserably recently.
Whats the point of a voting system if he is still going to circumvent public opinion and persue the matter anyway?
The people who voted against opt in see it for what it is. Control and censorship.
