As I pointed out DVDs don't escape the censor's scissors - with Some Mothers Do Ave Em and Only Fools & Horses being cut and I would guess the "wogs" episode of Fawlty Towers has been cut.

Some DVDs are cut, some aren't. But as a general rule and in my own experience, DVDs (when cut) tend to be cut much less than when episodes are butchered in order to shoehorn shows into neat, one-hour broadcasting slots peppered with ad breaks.
I wouldn't know specifically about the ones you mention as I don't own them and haven't seen them (always thought that "Some Mothers" was a pile of shite anyway).

If that! They even censored Rudolph Walker and Jack Smethurt's cameo appearances from a recent showing of 'Man About The House: The Movie'! I DVR a lot of this stuff during the day and watch it at night, so I notice this kind of thing.
The TV companies (UK GOLD or DAVE for instance) might have a free time slot of about 40 minutes, but when you take out the commercial breaks (1 before it, 1 during & 1 after) you could well be left with less than 30 minutes for the programme itself. A lot of sitcoms are about that length anyway, but some episodes of some series can vary in length. (particularly 70s BBC ones 'Fawlty Towers', etc) So the companies edit their running time. So when some shows are cut for swearing/nudity/violence (because they're being shown far earlier in the day than they were originaly intended to be), PCness AND running time combined, we're really not getting anything like the full programme.
There's an episode of 'Some Mother's Do 'Ave Em' where Frank's a motorcycle courier. Just about every time it's shown, they cut the scene where he's being questioned in the Police station. There's nothing in the scene that I could imagine anybody being offended by, so it must be for reasons of length.
I'm not against buying boxsets. I've bought lot's of them. But I don't want to have to buy EVERYTHING I ever watch. What would be the point of having any TV channels?
