The Human Factor seems like a good read. I'll think of that when ordering my next batch. Cheers.

How are you finding it? I've never been a sci-fi buff but open to a change.

'Running the Show' looks interesting. Don't know much about Empire apart from snippets learnt at school. At first it sounded like some sort of book on governance and economics but reading a few reviews I find it's a collection of stories with bits of humour.

I might be tempted.

I am reading The Woman in Black, which is very spooky after just finishing John O'Farrells "Things can only get better" and his, "Utterly Exasperated History of Modern Britain". Both of which view Britain through his eyes as a Labour activist with the patience of a saint and the resolve of a disabled mountaineer! Both books very entertaining.

No TV in Hungary, thank God, just the cinema which is great apart from FUCKING NACHO MUNCHERS who Frank Thring would agree should be banned from all cinemas, or at least placed in air-tight cages so the awful whiff of the horrible jalepeno puke on top of their pile, can't pollute the rest of the cinema goers!

Books: the Parker novels by Richard Stark. I recently finished reading all 24 of them back to back. They're so good that everything I've started since has disappointed me.

TV: Breaking Bad Season 4. Jaw on the floor.

Music: a budget-priced box-set of five Boz Scaggs albums from the 70s. Peerless.

Now, listening to 'Hard Nose the Highway' - Van Morrison in his prime.

Earlier today, watched 'Double Indemnity' -Billy Wilder, Film Noir at its finest, cynical and sexy.

Later tonight, reading 'Periodic Tales', lives of the chemical elements.

Astral Weeks is one of my favourites, magical record!

Another classic that I love is Patti Smith's Horses. DUnno if you have come across it. Produced by John Cale it's a mix of rock, poetry, punk and raw power, together with a killer photograph taken by Robert Mabblethorpe on the front cover.

Great album.
