The Commons will be a poorer place without him.Well principled and came out of the expenses sleaze without any criticism.Was a miner for 20 years and had a triple by pass 8 years ago ... hope he keeps going for a few more !

Not a lot of people know this but Dennis asked John Major his first question as Prime Minister:
'When will the Hon gentleman resign?'

Nice story but untrue. It was Neil Kinnock who asked Major his first question as PM and Skinner shouted, "Resign!"
