You are forgetting the music back in the day was a hundred times better than the absolute regurgitated shite we have to listen to these days. If you want crap watch the x factor,if you want christmas classics stop moaning. IMO.

Of course we all have different tastes in music and it would be good to have some new seasonal songs. However I would far rather hear the 70's songs from Slade, Wizzard, Jonny Mathis etc and reworks of older songs by Boney M for example than most of the releases that were at the top of the charts over the last few years.

Indeed since say 1990 how many new seasonal songs have been in the Christmas singles chart top 5 .......

Maybe someone with lots more time than me will research and post a list ...
