Todays Daily Mail is a masterpiece of twisted nastiness. They've managed to trash Elton John's child adoption plans, pour bile on the whole of Australia, vomit on celebs health fads and there is a lovely piece where they blame, you guessed it, "New Labour" for 1000's of central heating boilers going wrong.
I reckon if you leave a rolled up copy of the Daily Mail near a saucer of milk, you could curdle it instantly!

To be fair to the Mail, (and there's something you wont hear me saying very often) celeb health fads deserve a good vomit over. Sense About Science have published their annual report on the worst abuses of common sense by those in the public eye and their worse than useless diets, cures, hologram wrist bands etc.

You beat me to it. I Was just going to post the exact same thing.
I don't blame the celebs because they might not always know they're being irresponsible. I do expect more from the media and magazines that publish these 'tips' though.

Funny that
I think the Mail may have something with regard to central heating boilers breaking down and the role of New Labour.
I never pulled a muscle in my lower back until Tony Blair got elected.
Some say "coincidence" - not me, pal.
Cheers

Baxi standard boiler (16 years old and no probs whatsoever) though if I hear one more British Gas maintenance engineer telling me I would be better off with a condensing boiler, I may become a tad violent.

Re: The Daily Mail at its most bitter & twisted!
I'm regretting my minor rapprochement already, as I've just remember that the Mail's usual level of scientific understanding is to divide the world into things that cause cancer and things that 'cure' it.
Re: The Daily Mail at its most bitter & twisted!
I think that it's the drip feed effect of the Mails incessant vitriolic outpourings about any topic that they feel is, "Radical" or could in any way be deemed, "Leftie" that is troubling. So, on it's own you may disagree about Elton John adopting, but when grouped amongst all the other sour, bile, it becomes wearing. One wonders what long term harm this kind of reporting must do to its readers?

Re: The Daily Mail at its most bitter & twisted!
It does no harm to its long term readers Jim. I was bitter and twisted before I started reading it and I'm still fucking bitter and twisted. Now the Guardian is a different kettle of fish - what sort of harm do ITS long term readers do to the rest of us? And by the way, I've got a condensing boiler and it's fucking useless.
