Julian Assange

Post by Impish »

Is it just me or is this guy being treated differently than any other suspect out there? It seems like he is getting a raw deal. Wether you agree with what he is doing or not...I don't mean the sex offences, if he's guilty of that then let him go to jail but it just feels like dark forces are at work.

Yes I wondered that and couldnt help but feel that he is being made an example of like some kid of trophy.

Which goes to show that if the auhtorities really wanted to do something about all this cyber crime they could if they really wanted to but they are really parading this guy and infringing on his basic rights by denying him any access to the outside world which is the equivalent of being a political prisoner.

Here is a classic example of one mans terrorist is another mans freedom fighter because the guy is being treated like a terrorist.

He will end up in an American jail by fair means or foul and on the end of a rope if the loony Palin gets to the White House.

It is now revealed that objections to bail came not from Sweden, but from the CPS, despite our prosecutors previously saying otherwise. I think a deal with the US to send him over there might be on the cards. I hope that David Blunkett who was largely responsible for the very lop-sided extradition agreement with the US is suitably contrite.

My thoughts too, this smacks of the "special relationship" i.e we are America's bitch...

One could be mistaken in believing the fucking yanks are the terrorists here.
This bloke has embarrassed the shit out of the twatts and they want their pound of flesh.
It was nice to know what the two faced bastards thought about our soldiers efforts in Afghan, and as for that twisted as a fucking Whitworth thread arsehole Karsi, who the fuck is he to critisize.? He's sitting nice and safe in Kabul whilst foreign soldiers are dying in his shithole cuntry.

A recent edition of the Radio 4 legal programme covering the issue of European Arrest Warrants and the equally badly drawn up extradition arrangements with the US featured Blunkett. During his interview he admitted that he had probably got the balance wrong in the legislation. Not much of a mea culpa but the best we can expect I suppose.

Perhaps if he had deigned to put it before the House instead of sidestepping Parliamentary process altogether, it might have emerged in better shape.
