Apparently the dictaphone found in his tent had casting suggestions, he wanted to be played by a wrestler called Dave Batista, his wife by Hollyoaks actress Gemma Merna.
But why didn't he want to go out in a blaze of glory? The movie wont have many good action scenes, just him with a gun v unarmed people and sitting in a tent. He could have shot a helicopter down at the very least.
And the ending will be crap, lying face down, sobbing and then shooting himself.
He should of committed suicide by proxy, the same way Rambo died in the original ending:

Moat
Re: Moat
I see Moat as a combination of Big Vern, Eight Ace and Fatha Bacon. I am impressed by the way the writers of Viz have been able to capture the essence of the north east.
I must say that having Gazza turn up at the siege was something that even Viz could not have written. Pure comedy gold.

"No bastard coppa's taking me alive" - Big Vern Yes I remember Viz well
Robches, its the movies. First Blood was altered for Rambo to live so why not have Moaty shoot a helicopter down, blow up a few cars and a huge firefight in a graveyard (add wind and hail for drama) then him realising the folly of his ways and ending up a hero than take any more lives by turning the gun on himself then making one last charge in dramatic slow motion and freeze frame on his war face and hold
National hero stuff. Made in Britain and all that bollocks. Fade to black and roll national anthem.
There you go, rewrite sorted ?250,000 please.

Re: Moat
In the movie, Moat gets sent to prison, where he captains the football team, and comes out to lead Newcastle United to Premiership glory. He then goes to Afghanistan to sort out the Taliban. Sadly, the Americans won't be able to understand Geordie, so he'll have to be played by Hugh Grant.

Re: Moat
All that in a couple months Robches...makes sense he would lose the plot when he got out.
We'll leave my ideas for the sequel then.
Might as well do it as a trilogy and have Moat 3 as a prequel, showing him as a skinny little nerd who got picked on until he discovered steroids..and life was never the same again

Re: Moat
Looks like Gazza would have been in it..!
Re: Moat
I think the most frightening thing are the recordings produced by the media of the police screaming at him like demented souls at breaking point. These are the one's needing investigating-look at the photographs of those holding the arms-the crazed look about them.
In this case,photographs never lie.
...and the rain was pouring it down at the time-like something out of an old Hollywood movie of a prison break where everyone looses it...Guns ablazing.

Re: Moat
Suppose if one of my colleagues had been shot in the face by the nutter, I wouldn't be feeling that sympathetic to him.
I think the investigation needs to look at why they bothered trying to talk him out of shooting himself for six hours.
They should have given him an hour and then just shot him.
Just look at what the savings would have been then on the Police overtime bill.
I can see why Gazza was big mates with Moat......
Both think it's OK to go round beating up women.
