He was, I tipped him the change from a twenty (this was the early 90s and we had one pizza between us, so the tip was hefty) and helped myself to the only tenner in the wallet.

When I was about 4...... long, long, long time ago

Me and a friend used to run into the local sweet shop and grab penny chews and leg it.... eventually the owner got pissed and followed us - not very far as it happens; in fact just round the corner (it seemed a lot further but I guess little legs and all that). He grabbed us, hauled us back into the shop and got the police to take us home

Sent to my room with a clip around the head from my mother and no dinner. Then my dad got home and took a strap to my ass.... never nicked anything after that.

I counted my blessings though as my dad was about half the size of my mates and he got the same!
