Well, we had the 7/7 bombings, 4 and a half years ago, and apparently about 30 similar things have been stopped in their final stages of planning by the Police and the Security Service in recent years. Gun crime is up 50% in the last year, I heard that figure this week. I'm not depressed about this - if it happens it happens.

That could be a reason. I heard though that the guy they recently nicked who tried to blow up the plane on Christmas day was a contributing factor to the level being increased.

If the above is true i.e. 2000 individuals in the UK, all of whom want to kill us, then Muslim terrorists must be the most incompetent bunch of terrorists since time immemorial.

Get hold of a gun, shoot a lot of people in a shopping precinct. How hard can that be, if you are determined to kill people?
