It was a very exciting time in W2 at the time, optimism everywhere. I remember my mate dragging around a suitcase full of pirated VHS tapes that he'd filmed with a camcorder at a cinema, you could even see the smoke from someones fag, drifting in front of the lens.He used to flog the films for ?30 each I seem to remember(can't believe they were that much) It was a great time and even that war-mongering bitch Thatcher couldn't spoil it! Going to Khan's for a curry for about ?2.50. I also seem to recall hanging out with a couple of members of Culture Club, God knows how I met them.
In the deep hazy regions of my mind I seem to recall some of the cast of "RockNRoll Ransom" turning up, I think that was Lyndseys first movie.

Yes Rock n' Roll Ransom was Lindsay's first movie and he visited me at the Scrubs to tell me what he wanted to do and I gave him carte blanche to use all the Videx equipment to make his first film.

"I'm gonna blow up a car" he said!

I thought "Well this guy wants to make a Hollywood type film" that I found so boring but I tuned into his enthusiasm. On the visit was a blind friend, Nigel who had a stash in his hollow white stick so it was great in my cell after the visit thinkng about my protege and what he was going to get up to and I was pleased that he was not scared to disobey an ujust law and carry on making films.
The only negative aspect was he was using our latest discovery a horny chick who I knew I was going to fuck on the next shoot and I lay in my cell visualizing her face and body, wishing I was out on location making a film and fucking her!
