How can you say there that you are not trying to cause offence and then spout off the kinda shit that you are?

The difference is that prostitutes are paid for sex directly by the guy they are having sex with.

As a porn performer, I have never ever been paid for sex. I am paid, by a third party (producer, site etc), for the right to use my image, just like any other model or actor.

well speak for yourself, I dont prostitute and I dont cam and I earn alot of money, enough to live a very comfortable life, from doing just a few shoots a month. So you cant say the only difference between a prostitute and a porn performer is that a prostitute earns more!

Your daft 'argument' just doesn't hold water, I'm afraid.
Sure I've got an opinion, and that is that in both cases, the whore and the pornstar get paid to perform sex acts with others.
Whether the person paying for this service is the punter or the producer of said grumble flick is, by and large, irrelevant.
If no money changed hands, the sex act would not take place - period.
Whomsoever is offended by being 'tarnished' with the 'whore' brush, is surely in denial of their profession?
And why?!
I for one have no problem with someone who chooses either profession, which, as I have opined, amounts to the same thing.
And good luck to anyone who is at peace with themselves in the oldest profession. There is no stigma attached to prostitution where I come from, so anyone offended by my posts has really misconstrued my intentions entirely.

The reason I didn't go into what the 'actual' differences were between a pornstar and a whore HollyD is because the author of this thread had already made up his mind. Therefore, there was no point in arguing.

I just made a basic point that hour for hour a whore makes more than a pornstar.

Most here would agree that there is no stigma attached to prostitution but you don't use that word as much as you use the words "Common Whore" and that is my biggest issue with all of this. You hide this thread where few of the professionals will see it and then appeal to people to give outside opinions that you then build into what you seem to think is a definitive understanding. You appear to be in the business of selling porn but you also seem to lack any understanding of the people in it.

On the subject of your choice of language, again I will use the analogy of race:

The phrase... "There is nothing wrong with being a Black person."
Is NOT the same as:
"There is nothing wrong with being a Nigger."
And people using that language know that they are being inflammatory.
You know that "prostitute" is simply a noun whereas "Common Whore" is loaded with negative meanings and emotion.
