Mexican Authorities Detain European Porn Stars

As reported by AVN and other news sources, five European porn stars were detained last week by Mexican Immigration authorities for visa violations. The stars, Nacho Vidal (Spain), Katsumi (France), Rita Faltoyano (Hungary), Jane Darling and Claudia Clair (Czech Republic), were taken into custody on the second day of the Mexican Erotic Film Festival, sponsored by IFG (International Film Group). The Mexican authorities charged that the porn stars visas were stamped as Tourists and did not permit the porn stars to work in Mexico. IFG President and spokesman, Salvatore Diago claims that the porn celebrities were not working and only at the festival for promotional purposes. However, Mexican authorities were unwilling to accept Diago?s distinction, since the celebrities did appear on stage as Festival attractions.

Even so, the Mexican authorities treatment of the porn celebrities does seem unduly harsh. They were held in crowded detainment cells at the Immigration jail and denied any visitors or legal council for 27 hours. They had to sleep on cold cement floors, particularly cruel considering the four females were only wearing skimpy bikini-like attire, and were not given any food or water in that time. Rita Faltoyano, who had injured her hand, was also denied medical treatment. After 27 hours of detainment without any explanation why they were being held, Diago was allowed to see them. The women were in tears and Rita was nearly hysterical. Vidal told Diago he had to do something to help Rita or she would go over the edge.

Finally, the Mexican Immigration officials proposed a solution. Diago would pay $36,000 fine, sign a document accepting all blame for the incident (essentially abandoning any future legal remedies), and agreeing to get the performers voluntarily out of Mexico (i.e. not a deportation). Diago, knowing any further argument would mean days, if not, weeks of incarceration for the performers, agreed. With that the Europeans were hustled into a van and taken immediately to the airport. Diago had to collect their luggage, as none of the five were allowed out of custody until at the airport.

?This is the worst experience of my life,? pronounced Katsumi in a monumental understatement. Why did immigration officials act in such a harsh manner? Nobody knows or at least they aren?t saying. Diago said he had a theory, but declined to express it.

The should have sorted out the correct paperwork in order to go there, rather than entering the country illegally then bleating, "its not fair" when they get caught.

It amazes me the number of UK models on this forum who announce they're going to the US to work without the correct visas, thinking, no-one will know. Maybe they won' get caught, but if they do, the penalties are harsh.

Just because the UK has abandoned border controls doesn't me the rest of the world will let anyone in an out at whim.

You won't get a visa to work as a porn star.

If you take away the girls working illegally and 'marriages of convenience' then the European girls you see in US productions would go down 90% overnight.
