Jonone in all fairness, The Stones and Bowie (both legends in my mind) would be given huge tributes but the shocking thing here is that MJ died at 50 of a heart attack. Not something that anyone thought he would go out on a couple months before a final curtain tour.
In short. No one saw it coming. the Stones are still rocking into their 70's and still as fit as fiddles. it wouldnt be such a shock if something like this happened as most people consider people aged 70 to be old as fossils living on borrowed time anyway.

The first thing that came to my mind was what the first comment says --- 'i would be pretty pissed if he bent my house key. fucker'
Re: Michael Jackson has died
Last night I heard of the death of a man in his fifties. Once acclaimed as a master in his field, latterly he had become a sad, deluded figure, mocked in public, who had wasted a fortune on mad spending sprees. His face had collapsed into a barely human caricature, and he had taken to spending a lot of time being photographed with children. Imagine my surprise therefore to learn that Gordon Brown was alive and well, and that Michael Jackson had died. I shall raise a glass of Jesus juice to his memory.

Some great tunes over 20 years ago, but in many peoples eyes, still a nonce.
Prince, for my money, is far better.
