"Why did the Mc Canns seek a ruling to have the sniffer dog ruled as inadmissible if it is so clearly unreliable anyway? Why bother? Why be so afraid of this non-evidence?"

If they had known in advance that Scotland Yard were going to discredit the evidence, maybe they wouldn't have bothered. But they couldn't really have known that in advance.

"So a 100% finding suddenly converts to a 0% finding. These forensic people have become very careless."

Forensic science is actually full of mistakes. Many of them very serious mistakes. Remember the "gunshot residue" that convicted Barry George? Later described as worthless evidence. And similar mistakes in a hundred other cases I could mention.

"You've a long way to go before you get a job with Team Mc Cann"

I'm not a lawyer as you seem to think.

Hang fire here Reggie the full "Tapas 7" or how many had tapas that night neglected THEIR children in the EXACT same way as the McCanns if you are claiming that the McCanns should be shot on the spot for such a crime just why are you not also claiming that those other friends should also be getting charged with the very same offence??

Anyway are you such an expert on Portugese Law as you seem to be on English/Scottish Law?? The reason I ask is because you gotta remember this crime/accident/disappearance (for nobody can be sure) happened on foreign soil and not here in good ol' blighty ... but so far the Portugese have not levelled ANY sort of charge against the McCanns or any of their "friends". Surely they should be in a better position to make that judgement than you??

The definition of neglecting your child whilst on holiday is imho not leaving 3 kids sleeping 60 yards away from yourself (for a couple of hours) but maybe you should look into the case of 15 year old Scarlett Keeling who was murdered whilst her mother was AWOL in Goa last year ... that is fucking neglect!!

PEOPLE think Stephen Hawking is so clever, but when you ask him a question and he is typing in the answer on his little screen, how do we know he isn't just looking up the answer on the Internet?

I only saw glimpses; so, yes, I saw it 'at all', but probably less of it than you did. (Being someone who teaches logic to students I just couldn't help pointing out the contradiction in your posting...)

To be honest, I'm not really interested in the McCann story, I never was. Lots of people go missing, and this was pushed by the media, because it was a cute young girl from a middle class family.

Fascinating doc shown on ITV last night, very similar to the one I highlighted in my earlier post

Thought you were smart when you took them on,
But you didnt take a peep in their artillery room,
All that rugby puts hairs on your chest,
What chance have you got against a tie and a crest.
