Some of their early stuff is excellent... To Cut A Long Story Short, The Freeze, Musclebound, Glow, Pharaoh... and one of the greatest singles of 81 Chant No.1. They went steadily downhil (commercially & artistically) after the True album in '83, by the late 80's they were a spent force.
Gary Kemp was a talented writer but I always thought he came across a bit precious

They're locking them up today, they're throwing away the key...I wonder who it be tomorrow, you or me?

They said at the press conference yesterday that tickets had gone on sale that afternoon. I just saw an advert in the ad-break during The Bill on ITV1 which said "tickets go on sale this Friday". Maybe they were hoping for all the gigs to sell-out in 2 minutes, like what happened when Blur and a few others announced a comeback, and maybe it didn't happen, so this could be a ticket relaunch, with quickly organsied TV backing. Maybe the sales arent going too well...

Tony Hadley is now a tub of lard

Looks like he should stick to the pub and local Chinese takeaway :)
