stopping email replies to postings

Right despite 2 requests to the forum I still don't know how I can stop replies from a previous posting coming to my email box. I know I need to avoid ticking the email box on future postings but I want to stop current reply messages - surely I haven't got to wait until the posting ceases to be of interest (the original posting wassn't mine I just posted a reply). Can anyone help please
