richard hammond & morrisons

Post by Von Boy »

Morrisons supermarket have announced a new deal with richard hammond believed to be ?1,000,000 for 4 weeks work on their new adverts !!!

Tesco on the other hand have decided to pull away from "celebratory" centred advertising.

Sainsburys are still paying Jamie oliver ?1,000,000 a year but not using him as much in these tough times.....

its a tough world !

Seems strange that if sansburrys are paying circa 1M that they'd not use him as much... surely it would be a better buisiness model to get one new advert a week for that kind of cash :-/

Mind you... as he's now seen as TMATOTY (The most annoying twat of the year) its probably a good idea hes not on the telly as much as he might just turn people off from sansburrys.

The only difference between erotic art and porn is how much you can charge for it... 3.99 a mag its porn; 399 a print, its art!

If you hang it on a wall... would the Rev. faint or comment on it; if the former its Porn :-P

Well no doubt Hanson, Lulu, van Outen and the Fridge Magnet will point to the fact that celebrity advertising works as Morrisons had the best like for like increase in sales pre-Christmas of all the UK supermarkets.

Why would anyone shop at a particular supermarket because of a star face? Morrisons are cheap for most things, but they all rip you off for certain items - yesterday they sold me (4+ 1 free) Navel Oranges for ?1.69, not really that cheap --- in Aldi today I got 6 for 49p. So Hammond can stick his oranges where the sun don't shine !shocked!

Trouble with supermarkets is they're only cheap whilst they're building their reputation - once they get a big enough market share they rip people off as much as they can get away with - Sainsbury and Tesco are both into ripping people off. Asda aren't as bad, although it's always too crowded.

Morrisons are very fine at what they do.Fruit and vegetables and flowers are top quality.Meat is best of all the supermarkets. If someone can earn a million and make their employer 20 times that then they're well worth it and good luck to 'em!

Well if the big supermarkets are "ripping people off" I would like to know what the smaller local shops are doing - you know the ones that charge ?1.50 for a loaf of bread, ?1 for a can of coke and 60p for a packet of soggy crisps ... to me they are the ones ripping the urine not Asda, Morrisons et al.

PEOPLE think Stephen Hawking is so clever, but when you ask him a question and he is typing in the answer on his little screen, how do we know he isn't just looking up the answer on the Internet?

Ive been well confused with the Tesco vs Asda ones lately. They are literally having a bitch fight on t.v and one of them must be lying! They both say the other one is a lier.... it makes my head hurt. Anyone else noticed this? xxx

I virtually never venture into corner shops - mainly because they are overpriced and a lot of the goods are too near the usel-by date, some are even past it. A lot of them are pokey and dirty as well.
