Am off to egypt at the begining of january with the mrs and lil one and just wondering if anyone on here as been at all especially at that time of year and what your experiance was like as has lots of mixed reviews, we are staying 5 star at an all inclusive english resort in sharm el sheik .

Yes I've been to Egypt and at the same time of year too, although it was a long time ago now.
I think it's a good time to go, because in summer you can end up being baked by the heat.

A nice place for winter sunshine, but a prime target for Al Quaeda and other lunatics. Chances are it won't happen when you're there, but they will strike again. Sharm el Sheik isn't really Egypt, they keep the riff-raff out to enhance the tourist appeal - it could be anywhere with sunshine.
