Jaqui Smith's new sex laws.

Post by number 6 »

As well as criminalising punters who pay for sex,she wants to name and shame them. Why?? What good would it do? Most are just harmless sexually frustrated men who wouldn't harm a fly. What an incredibly vindictive law.

The problem she will have is that this law if passed would have to cover male prostitutes as well, and as a good portion of the labour party are badger watchers she may have a problem getting it through !wink!

Its just about bolstering piss poor crime figures, by inventing absolute offences for non-crimes.

Harriet Harperson was on C4 news, saying that even if a punter asked a girl if she was being controlled and said no, if it turned out she was, he would be charged with an offence.

i saw this on tv today and see they have changed there stance to focus on trafficking which is always good.

i see a knock on effect tho. if prostitution is pushed underground girls will just advertise as b/g models on modeling sites and then they will come after the porn industry.

Report I read had Smith quoting a statistic that 70% of prostitutes/ sex workers are trafficked. This is a nonsense figure but why aren't journalists doing their job and asking her to substantiate this statistic ? This is policy based on a 'think of a mumber' justification of need.

My sister and Niece used to live in a street that was a hangout for Prostitutes, Everytime she came out the door and my niece came out the door they were asking how much pulling up in cars my Niece was 13 for christs sake. In my opinion naming and shaming these fucktards has my support, many of them after sleeping with a crack addicted Prostitute go home to thier wives and spread god knows what to thier innocent partners. If they want to legalise Prostitution and give the girls somewere safe to work from and keep these creeps off the street then good, but these guys in cars are creeps pure and simple, come out with a hammer when they are propostioning your Family and watch the fuckers speed off.

'They' (Smith & her ilk) are using this trafficking nonsense across the board - as well as using hookers, those 'possessing' naughty (ie extreme, fetish etc) films will be also be liable under that phony umberella
