Re: Bipolar candidate - Mary Millington
The first time I saw Mary Millington I thought she looked like a common street prostitute.
Re: Bipolar candidate - Mary Millington
I was never that struck on MM to be honest, there were a lot of much better looking models around at that time.JonnyHungwell wrote:

I though it was just me that did not think much of her.
I have bought "mens" magazines since I was in my mid teens (many years ago now).
When the "open leg" magazines like Playbirds and Rustler came out in the early 70s I could not believe it and had many "off the wrist" looking at the pictures.
But even though Mary was in many of these magazines, and we had plenty of open leg shots from her, she never turned me on.
I never felt her poses were sexy, she seemed to be doing it in a very matter of fact way, almost like opening her legs for a medical exam rather than in a sexy way.
Many other models turned me on much more than she did.
I have never understood the adulation and it is probably another example of David Sullivan talking someone up. Without Sullivan she would be just another sex model.

Re: Bipolar candidate - Mary Millington
I have to concur with you guys. I too never thought MM was anything spectacular.
Just "average" really.
Ironically, I think that her tragic demise probably made her more of an icon than she would have been otherwise. That and the fact that she had Sullivan backing her as his stable's principle model while she was alive.
Although as a hormonally-charged teen back in the day I did indeed jerk off a load over MM on occasion, I always thought that Rosemary England was FAR, FAR sexier (as indeed were other 'lesser lights' of that time, such as Pat Astley and Suzy Mandel).

I mostly used to buy club International or Men Only back them - in those days they were real quality magazines in comparison to the likes of Playbirds or Whitehouse which were amongst the first to feature open vagina shots.

Yep that is so true.

Re: Bipolar candidate - Mary Millington
Have to agree with you about Suzy and Pat
Also preferred Rustler to Whitehouse etc. Tina Cream did it for me
Lynne Armytage and Shelagh Harrison another couple of my favourites
back then. Marie Harper another one
But the first to rock my boat as a young lad was Fiona Richmond
Got to see her nude on stage in London back in 1976 - enjoyed that

Re: Bipolar candidate - Mary Millington
One magazine was running some pics of her taken in 1966 and she didnt look any different ten years later
Re: Bipolar candidate - Mary Millington
