Plenty of non-religious people agree with "'Do unto others . etc" In fact many religious people dont comply with this dictum.

As Richard Dawkins says, religion is a dangerous delusion and the cause of many wars and conflicts. There is not shred of scientific evidence to support the idea that there is a god.

People need delusion Arch. Porn is a fantasy and in that respect it's illusory and delusional. It's not what it purports to be, yet presumably you buy into it to a greater or lesser degree ........ or are you too clever ?

You probably like to talk about other people's 'false consciousness' but you're immune to it yourself because you're more enlightened and self aware. I don't believe you !

As long as you understand that something is fantasy and not real, fantasy is fine in moderation.

The problem is when people confuse fantasy or delusion with real life. People generally just dont understand enough about reality, for example the psychology of interpersonal relationships.

Many people have delusional personality traits, for example Mr T Blair and Mr GW Bush. Delusional personality traits have caused many wars throughout history. The problem is that many sheeple get taken in by a politician's delusion as they have problems distinguishing delusion from reality.

I dont claim to be uniquely enlightened. Anyone who studies psychology can be similarly enlightened.

Just to add that there is incredibly little on psychology on TV and the mass media, yet they find room for endless cookery, property porn and fashion makeover programs.

Yes through experience as well but pure experience is subjective and it needs to be backed up by objective scientific study.
